Self-sacrifice to defend the nest
The Jataí soldier, after all, will eventually be bitten off by his enemy, the much larger "robber bee". But the jaws of the killed Jataí bee will continue to cling to the predatory bee, so that it cannot fly away and transmit the coordinates of the nest of the Jataí bee. Both will remain on the ground until a casual passer-by will clean up at them.
