Alderman
This term refers to an administrative municipal function. Originally, it referred to a person who applies the law. This word is derived from "scoop", "shelf", "scaf" : "vessels for liquid". Metaphorically a person who applies the "right", i.e. "creates" the existing right, as one scoops out a liquid. This etymological observation is important for understanding statements about the "creation" of the world. It is a form of utilization: actualization of the existing! |
